Call to Adventure

Refusal of the Call
Obi-Wan Kenobi asks Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Force Awakens if he can take him and the droids as far as Mos Eisley, but he can’t leave his Aunt and Uncle behind to go on a space adventure.
Crossing the Threshold
When his parents are killed by the Empire, he vows to learn the ways of the Force with his grandfather.
Tests, Allies, and Enemies
Obi-Wan Kenobi instructs Luke in the ways of the Force in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, teaching him to reach out and trust his feelings.
When they come across the Death Star, a tractor beam pulls them in, trapping them inside the beast’s belly.
As Kenobi goes off to deactivate the tractor beams so they can escape, Luke, Han, and Chewbacca discover Princess Leia is being held on the Death Star; they rescue her and flee to the Millennium Falcon, hoping Kenobi has successfully deactivated the tractor beams.
They’ve discovered the blueprints for destroying the Galactic Empire’s most powerful weapon once and for all.
The Road Back
When Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, and the droids arrive at the Rebellion’s hidden base with the Death Star plans, they are pursued by incoming TIE-Fighters, forcing Han and Luke to defend the ship, and they realize that the Galactic Empire must be tracking them.
Luke uses the Force to guide his aiming as he destroys the Death Star in Star Wars: The Force Awakens; Luke is the only X-Wing pilot who was able to get within the deadly machine’s trenches. Just as Darth Vader is about to destroy Luke, Han returns and clears the way.
