How do I find missing media files?
Where can I look for and replace missing media files?
- Click the orange status Bar notification to open File Manager.
- Unfold the arrow to the left of Automatic Search.
- If you know the folder where the missing files are located, click Set Folder to select that folder and then set the Search Folder option to Yes.
Why is Premiere Pro missing media?
You changed the blueprint without telling Premiere Pro, which is why your project has a missing media link. If you move or rename a file, you must point Premiere Pro to the new location of the file or files.

Why does Ableton say my sample is offline?
This is because Ableton Live requires multiple files to open your work, so it stores them in a folder. If you move your folder to a different computer, these files will not be transferred, and you will see the dreaded ‘Sample Offline’ warning scattered throughout your project.
Why are all my samples offline Ableton?
To fix it, go to File>Manage Files>Manage Set> View Files, which will show you all your missing files. Next, open the file window on your computer where you saved your project, and drag the project folder into Ableton under the “Places” section of the Ableton Browser on the left side of the screen.
How do I manage Ableton files?
Choose the Manage Files command from the File menu, click the Manage Set button, and then click the View Files button to see a list of the files referenced by the current Live Set. Live will display one line for each file used by the Live Set.
