Saint Thomas is so worth visiting, there’s no question about it.
What’s better St John or St Thomas?
St John would be my choice, but St Thomas has nice beaches too. I like St John because it is a quiet and more natural island, St Thomas is a busier and more developed island. Caneel has multiple beaches on its property and are much nicer. If you stay at the Westin, you won’t experience the real beautiful beaches.
When should I visit St John?
The island enjoys temperatures in the high 80s and lows 70s all year long and tends to see higher precipitation during hurricane season (June through November) with rainfall peaking between September and November. As a result, the best time of year to visit St. John is at the peak of winter from December through March.
